Fernando Capalla, DD Bishop of Davao &amp; CBCP President. 05\/05\/2005<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Our Congregation, the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii, was founded by Sister Mary Epifania F. Brasil, OP on May 13, 2005 in Quezon City, Philippines. Together with her were Sister Mary Carmen C. Advincula, OP., Sister Marie Amelia F. Brasil, OP., Sister Mary Matthew F. Brasil, OP., Sister Ma. Violeta P. Sobremisana, OP., and Sister Mary Sarah R. Ronda, OP. We were all former members of the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0We heard the call of the Spirit to start a new\u00a0branch of the Dominican family where we can be\u00a0contemplative witnesses, following Jesus, Friend of\u00a0the Poor and Healer of the Broken. We responded\u00a0to the call to live a consecrated life that is more contemplative and that trusts more in God\u2019s \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Divine Providence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After twenty months of serious prayer and\u00a0discernment, we formally asked to be released from\u00a0our affiliation with the former congregation on May\u00a05, 2005. We moved on with the blessings of then\u00a0Prioress General, Rev. Mo. Fr. Edmund Nantes, OP., Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines at Bahay Dominiko, Quezon City. 05\/13\/2005<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, May 13, 2005, the\u00a0founding community was blessed and accepted by\u00a0Rev. Fr. Edmund Nantes, OP., Prior Provincial of\u00a0the Dominican Province of the Philippines at Bahay\u00a0Dominiko, Quezon City.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our first residence was at the Regina Rosarii Center for Contemplative Prayer,\u00a0then located at 55 Scout Santiago St., Timog, Quezon\u00a0City. We were under the protection of the Most\u00a0Rev. Fernando Capalla, DD., Archbishop of Davao\u00a0and at that time, President of the Catholic Bishops\u00a0Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). His formal\u00a0protection letter came on July 2, 2005.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/reginarosarii.org\/rosarii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/12345.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-355 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/reginarosarii.org\/rosarii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/12345.jpg\" alt=\"12345\" width=\"298\" height=\"218\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our founding community carried on the following\u00a0apostolates: conduct retreats, recollections and\u00a0seminars; accompaniment in contemplative prayer\u00a0and devotion to Regina Rosarii; broadcast ministry\u00a0through radio and other forms of communication;\u00a0and providing socio-pastoral and medical services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On October 31, 2005, we transferred to our new\u00a0center located at 70 Scout Fernandez St., Barangay\u00a0Laging Handa, Quezon City. We initially rented the\u00a0property with option to buy it. On the feast of Our\u00a0Lady of Miraculous Medal, November 27, 2005, our\u00a0new Center was blessed and the sisters renewed\u00a0their vows in the presence of the Most Rev. Honesto F. Ongtioco, DD., Bishop of Cubao blest our founding members. 12\/13\/2005<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By December 13, 2005, the community\u00a0received the formal letter of recognition from the\u00a0Bishop of Cubao, Most Rev. Honesto F. Ongtioco, DD.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the feast of the Annunciation, March 25,\u00a02006, We celebrate our founding Chapter. After the\u00a0Founding Chapter, We worked hard to raise funds so\u00a0we can buy the property we lived in. Four years later,\u00a0on July 9, 2010, we were able to raise enough funds\u00a0to buy our house and lot. The new Center is now our\u00a0Regina Motherhouse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We had some challenges along the way, but\u00a0through it all, we continued to believe in God who\u00a0provides generously for us. In 2009, we found Regina\u00a0RICA land. It is a 13.5 hectare land at the foothills of\u00a0the Sierra Madre Mountains. It is a place that was\u00a0pointed to us with signs and many graces. We needed<br \/>\nto expand as our chapel had became too small for the\u00a0growing lay community and the growing vocation to\u00a0the Congregation.<\/p>\n<p>Our First General Chapter was celebrated last August 5 &#8211; 15, 2011. Gabriel Reyes DD. blesses the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii. 03\/12\/2012<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our first General Chapter has mandated that\u00a0the principal house be located at Regina RICA in\u00a0the Diocese of Antipolo. On March 7, 2012, the Most\u00a0Rev. Gabriel Reyes, DD, Bishop of Antipolo, formally\u00a0accepted our Congregation in Diocese by issuing the\u00a0Decree of Erection as Public Association of Christ\u2019s\u00a0Faithful in view of being erected a religious institute\u00a0of Diocesan right in the future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regina RICA has grown to be a place of prayer,\u00a0an ecological sanctuary and a wellness environment.<br \/>\nThrough the years of building and beautifiying the\u00a0place, we never douted the blessing of the Divine<br \/>\nProvidence. We continued to meet the challenges and\u00a0to trust that the 13.5 hectare land will be paid off in\u00a0time.<\/p>\n<p>On March 19, 2012, Regina RICA land was fully\u00a0paid. A great wonder and miracle of Our Lady,\u00a0Regina Rosarii!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To date many people have come to experience the\u00a0peace, prayerful atmosphere and the presence of Our\u00a0Lady, Regina Rosarii, on top of the hill. Regina RICA\u00a0has become a pilgrimage center that gathers many\u00a0people from all walks of life to experience silence,\u00a0stillness and serenity.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Our Vision \u2013 Mission Statement<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii, live as contemplative witnesses in the world today.
