It seems like it was only yesterday that Jase Jongco of the Beloved of the Lord community accompanying us in our first broadcast in Radio Veritas in August 2004. Wow and it happens so so fast we are now in our 9th year giving joy and giving hope to people.

Every day, every moment our God calls and we say YES. Our Four professed sisters renewed their vows last May 31, 2013.

The door or threshold of our convent is an importatnt sysmbol. We are gathered here this early dawn to symbolize the entrance and acceptance of Lodife Edullantes to initial formation called Postulancy. Our gate symbolizes transition and new way of life. For our Regina Rosarii community, Christ the Good Shepherd and the gate for the sheep, is the most important door, because “whoever enters through Christ will be saved, and will come in and go and find pastures.

We now welcome our new postulant its, Fe, inside our gate. We welcome her to new life; welcome to new beginnings, and welcome to our hearts.

Dear Members and Friends,

It is early dawn, I cannot sleep. I checked my email in search for an email sent earlier re the Seminar on Preaching. One of the emails that I needed to answer was the proposal for a Bose’ Sound System for the S Trail and the Pilgrims’ Place. My heart skipped a beat! Hah, so expensive! Where will we get the money this time?

Mama Mary, where will we get the money to buy this? Then, I noticed an email without a sender. Just a subject that says, Greetings! Is this a scam? But I got curious. I opened it. And now my eyes are still misty. This email was sent a week ago and I did not notice. It came from a German friend Gertrud. She said “I am sending you some money, half of it comes from my father…. use it in anyway you like”.

Wow, Mama Mary, you do not even wait for the morning. It is dark, it is night, it is still far from daylight and yet birds chirp, the music lingers on. What a happy news. Thank you for the present. Thank you we will have the Sound System, the one you like. The expensive sound system. The one you like. Thanks Gertrud and Papa.

Life is full of miracles! Believe you too can be a miracle. Thank you, thank you, O thank you!!!!

Easter has come with a big bang at Regina Rica. For the first time, we celebrated the Holy Week liturgical celebration at the Regina Rica chapel. The Easter vigil was celebrated in a quiet way because we do not have sufficient electrical power to light street lights and to brighten fully the chapel.  But in spite of the dim lights the brightness of the resurrection of Jesus never dimmed in our hearts.

The Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii, mission partners and volunteers celebrated Easter with gift giving that included Easter eggs. We thank our Lady for the thousands of pilgrims we have ministered to during the holy week. Our daily newspapers have acclaimed RICA as a new Lenten destination for holy week together.

Jesus is risen! And amidst thousands of sunflowers at Regina RICA that have blossomed on Easter day, we too have a joyful smile in our hearts.

We wish you all a very very bright Easter celebration. Jesus is the light of our life. Please remember that our Lady  waits for you on top of the hill. She wants to share with you the joy of Easter. come to RICA and experience Summer among  smiling sunflowers. One pilgrim priest predicted: walang pumupunta Kay Mama Regina
