Official Statement and Advisory From Regina RICA

Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii

Regina RICA, Sitio Aguho Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal

March 10, 2020

St. Julian of Norwich who lived in the 14th century, amidst the devastation of the black death looked beyond and said, “All shall be well.”

Indeed, in time all will be well. But for now, in the face of our worldwide crises of COVID 19, we need to pray and be careful.

Regina RICA will not close our doors to pilgrims.

We have a 13.5-hectare wide track of mountain land and good fresh air that can bring about healing. However, we enjoin all our staff, volunteers and pilgrims to observe the following precautionary measures:

  1. If you are not feeling well stay at home to protect others, and heal yourself.

  2. Wash your hands with soap and water and spray with disinfectant always.

  3. Masks must be worn by our personnel on duty and also by those who need to protect others from sneeze and cough.

  4. Never wipe sacred images with your handkerchief, or hands.

  5. All public toilet areas will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.

  6. There will be no long visit to orientation and SULOD. Instead you can pass by the veranda and walk through St. Joseph stairs in single file.

  7. Avoid touching your face, mouth, eyes, and nose.

  8. Pray to St. Julian of Norwich at the chapel of the women mystics to protect us all from this virus and plague.

  9. Say a Hail Mary to honor our Lady Regina Rosarii who covers all the pilgrims who come to Regina RICA, with her mantle of protection.

God bless us all!

One with you in the eternal now,

(Signed) Sr. Mary Epifania F. Brasil, OP

Superior General, Founder and Mother
